I pray when I witness through my music, the Lord will touch people's heart, mind, and soul to accept Him as their personal Savior, that their lives will be changed forever, like mine!
I was born in Cumberland County Pennsylvania and raised in Dauphin and York Counties.. As a child I remember my mother putting on her vinyl records and singing most of the time, because she had joy in her heart and I know that the joy was from the Father above. On Sunday's we would always visit our little country church, whether it be sunshine, rain, snow or sleet, singing those wonderful hymns that most of us know and love. At the age of 15 the Lord grabbed my heart in His love and at my home church which was Wolgamuth Church of the Brethren in Dillsburg, where the majority of the congregation were like family and still are to this day. I was baptized in October in 1972 in the Lower Conewaga Creek and it was cold, but I have no memory of being cold at all. No matter what was going on in my life, I knew deep in my heart that God would always be there for me and that with Him, all things are possible. In the little country church is where my sisters; Dorothy, Diane, Donna & Shirley started singing and all found His Salvation gift. I was approx 10 years old I started singing with Dorothy, Donna & Shirley, since Diane had moved away to Georgia. Our singing group was lead by Dorothy Ann who plays piano and sings to this day. My brother Ira, Jr. was too young at that time to sing with us, but would later on at times. It was such a good experience for me and I loved singing any type of music as long as it had a tune and great meaning in the lyrics. Our mother, Thelma was a true supporter of ours and encouraged us to be a witness for our Lord, my father Ira later on in life appreciated the gifts that God gave us. To this day, I still like a variety of music but my favorite is the old time hymns and southern & country gospel, and it has brought to me a heart in wanting to give the gift of music to others, when I founded the Christian Artist's Music Association, Inc. (CAMA, Inc.) in 2006. CAMA is a non-profit organization to help singers, musicians and songwriters to further their music ministries for our precious Lord and you can find more information at www.camainc.net. First and foremost my passion is to witness to others in song, so they can experience the Love of Jesus Christ. My genre' of music includes country gospel, traditional hymns, southern gospel, the country oldies in taste and in that order.
From 2001 to 2005, I had the pleasure to volunteer as Secretary/Treasurer for the Southern Gospel Music Association of Putnam County for four years of which Tom Strickland and Aldon Adams birthed. God has a way of preparing you for the journey and I know now that the Lord was helping me gain experience so that I could help others fulfill their music endeavors which portrayed their love for Jesus. I am so blessed with supportive family and friends and I pray that you will give me a call to sing for you, so that I can continue to fulfill my witness and my walk with the Lord God Almighty.
My ministry is open to venture to other points of interest in the community, such as community events, organizational meetings, county/state fairs, festivals, occasion parties, barbeques, churches and more.
Please give me a call today, I want to bless this world by witnessing to them with the gift that God has given me.
Thank you dear Lord!
